Literacy Suffolk Tutor Training

Learn how to help adults improve their English speaking, reading, and writing skills.

This new streamlined training consists of 4 in-person sessions.

Applicants must be over 18 years of age, a high school graduate and able to volunteer at least two (2) hours a week for one (1) year.

Tutors and students meet at a library and at a time that is convenient to both.

These training sessions will take place at the Selden Branch of the Middle Country Public Library, located at 575 Middle Country Road in Selden.

Session 1: Orientation and ELL 1 (English Language Learners)
Saturday, February 24  10 AM - 2 PM                       

Session 2: ELL 2 (English Language Learners) and Successful Tutoring
Saturday, March 2  10 AM- 2 PM

You must attend both sessions. You will receive all training details after receipt and review of your application.
