Event Details

Do you ever wonder what happens to litter on the beach?  Explore the problem of debris in the marine environment in this two part program from Cornell Cooperative Extension.  In part one you will complete the virtual component of the program where you will learn about the different types and sources of debris, and how it impacts marine wildlife through ingestion and entanglement.  In part two you will take part in an organized beach clean up at Centerport Beach with an instructor from the Cooperative.  Signed permission slips are required.  Gloves will be supplied.  Registration begins Friday, October 1st at 10:00 AM.
