Join Preservation Director Sarah Kautz and learn about Preservation Long Island's continuing work on the Jupiter Hammon Project. Hammon, who lived as an enslaved person at Lloyd Manor, was a founder of African-American literature. His poem authored in 1760 was the first to be published by an African-American born in North America. Please register to receive a Zoom link to the program.
