Event Details
On a cold January night in 1840, the steamboat Lexington left New York City with over 150 passengers and trunks of silver bullion for Eastern Connecticut and never arrived. To this day, it remains the worst maritime disaster in the Long Island Sound. Join us as we take a forensic look at the decisions and events leading up to this tragedy. Presented by Ed Carr of the The Greater Huntington Boating Council in conjunction with Huntington’s Safe Boating Week. Registration is underway.
