Pickled, salted, smoked, or dried? Dig into the delectable history of food preservation as we learn how whalers kept food fresh for months out at sea. Explore common shipboard recipes as well as some of the more unusual meals sailors would have enjoyed on their travels. We’ll examine supply lists, letters, and diaries to discover which foods were savored and which were scorned by sailors. Registration begins Monday, November 3rd at 10:00 AM.
