National Hispanic Heritage Month- September 15th - October 15th

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th - October 15th. It begins on September 15th in honor of the anniversaries of national independence for several Latin American countries including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Mexico's independence is celebrated September 16th and Chile celebrates its independence September 18th. It is a month to appreciate and celebrate the cultures, histories, and diversity of the American Latino community.
