Teens Connect
Teens Connect Volunteer Programs are promoted in the library’s monthly newsletter and on our webpage. Teens in grades 7 through 12 can earn community service hours by volunteering and attending a variety of programs involving various organizations, such as Huntington Meals on Wheels, Guide Dog Foundation, Little Shelter Animal Rescue, Family Service League, and many others.
Study Buddies is a program for Harborfields High School students in grades 9 through 12 to volunteer their time helping students in grades 1 through 8 prepare for exams, and manage school assignments.
Teens in grades 7 through 12 can also join the Junior Friends of the Library.

Teens Connect
Teens are invited to earn community service hours by helping younger children (grades 1–5) learn the basics of chess. Volunteers will assist with explaining the rules, guiding game play, and encouraging good sportsmanship.
