Teens Connect
Do you ever wonder what happens to litter on the beach? Explore the problem of debris in the marine environment in this two part program from Cornell Cooperative Extension. Prior to attending the clean Up you will complete the virtual component independently. You will learn about the different types and sources of debris, and how it impacts marine wildlife through ingestion and entanglement. Upon completion you will take part in an organized beach clean-up at Centerport Beach with an instructor from the Cooperative. Signed permission slips are required. Gloves will be supplied. Earn (2) hours of community service.
