Our teen volunteers are collecting donations for Housewarming Gift Baskets to support individuals and families transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing. The baskets, to be donated to the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless, will include essential kitchen and bathroom items. By October 31st, please drop off donations in the collection box located in Teen'Scape (the Teen Room).
These are the items we are looking for donations of:
Toiletries – Personal self-care items
Toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, washcloths, soaps/body washes, deodorant, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, razor/shaving cream, feminine items, floss, Q-tips, nail clipper, hairbrush and comb, toilet paper, tissues.
Kitchen items- non food
Hand towels, cutlery, oven mitts, non glass cups, cooking spoons, spatula, tongs, ladle, can opener, measuring spoons and cups, food containers for leftovers.
Cleaning supplies for bathroom and kitchen
Laundry detergent, dish detergent, bathroom cleaning sprays, kitchen cleaning sprays, cleaning disinfectant spray/wipes, disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer, gloves/masks, paper towels, sponges, rubber gloves.
