Recycling Leaves

One way to make use of old leaves is to rake them onto your lawn, run them over with the lawn mover and then rake them back to your garden or perennial beds. This provides protection and additional habitat for overwintering pollinators and other insects. You can add other materials like grass clippings to this mix.
