How to vote in 2022 State & Local Primary Election

There are three ways for Suffolk County voters to cast a ballot in this year’s State & Local Primary Election:

  1. On Primary Day June 28, 2022 at your polling place. To confirm your polling place location click HERE.
    If Harborfields Public Library is listed as your polling place, you may vote here on Tuesday, June 28 from 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM.

  2. During the Early Voting period for the Primary, June 18 – June 26th. Voters may vote at ANY of the 26 Early Voting locations throughout Suffolk County which will be clean, safe and secure. For a list of Early Voting Poll locations and times click HERE.

  3. By Absentee Ballot – In addition to existing reasons to obtain an absentee ballot, New York State has proscribed that “illness” shall include the “risk of contracting or spreading a disease that may cause illness to the voter or to other members of the public. The New York State Board of Elections has released a new statewide absentee ballot tracker to allow any voter in the state to monitor the status of their absentee ballot. This online application for an accessible absentee ballot is designed for use ONLY by VOTERS WITH VISUAL DISABILITIES TO OBTAIN A PDF BALLOT WITH ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES. Do not use this online form if your registration residence address is not your current residence address.
